ASCEND is a two-year program designed to help first-year students transition into college life and explore careers in technology. Open to first-years majoring in computer science, information science, statistics, or data science at Cornell, the program offers mentorship, professional development, and community-building opportunities.
Funded by LinkedIn, ASCEND fosters a supportive environment for students passionate about technology. Students engage in research projects, entrepreneurship, and experiential learning. The program includes workshops to enhance resumes, guidance on pursuing graduate degrees, and networking events with peers, faculty, and industry professionals.
