Human Resources Service Center (HRSC)

The HR Service Center (HRSC) is a dedicated team of human resources professionals who provide comprehensive administrative and strategic HR support to both Cornell Bowers and the College of Engineering.

Led by Sue Shipman, Associate Director of HR, the HRSC offers expert guidance and operational support across a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, appointment processing, data management, and compliance. The team works closely with departments to ensure a consistent, efficient, and service-oriented experience for faculty, staff, and academic personnel.

The HRSC operates in close partnership with Carrie Irwin, Director of Human Resources for Bowers, to deliver best-in-class HR solutions that align with the college’s values of excellence, inclusion, and innovation. Together, Bowers HR and the HRSC form a collaborative and responsive HR network that empowers our community and helps individuals and teams thrive.
