Sasha Golovnev is an associate professor of computer science in the Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science. His research focuses on theoretical computer science, with a particular emphasis on computational complexity and algorithms.
Before joining Cornell, Golovnev was an assistant professor of computer science at Georgetown University, a research scientist at Columbia University and Yahoo Research, and a Rabin Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University. He received his Ph.D. in computer science from New York University in 2017.
