A transformative week of research, community, and social impact.

The Summer of Networking and Computing (SoNIC) workshop is an immersive, weeklong experience at Cornell Bowers designed to inspire and empower undergraduate and master’s students to pursue graduate studies in computing.

Through collaborative projects and real-world applications, participants gain exposure to advanced computing research while building a strong foundation for graduate school and beyond. Through hands-on research and mentorship, the program provides a unique opportunity to connect with leading researchers, develop valuable technical and research skills, and become part of a community committed to inclusive innovation.

SonIC is supported by the National Science Foundation and LinkedIn.

Preparing students for tech careers.

SoNIC is not just about algorithms and running models. It's about empowerment and opportunity. Our summer program aims to equip these students with the confidence, knowledge and connections to begin forging successful careers in academia and the tech industry.
